The Copper Development Association Announces The Launch Of The Copper Learning Center
The Copper Development Association (CDA) has just announced the launch of its new virtual classroom, the Copper Learning Center, which will allow both students and professionals already in the field to easily access an abundant amount of information on copper and its many applications (pretty neat, huh?).
According to this press release, the site will be able to aid both those experienced and those just starting out, so don’t worry if you are on the newbie side. The initial course will dive into mining, production and typical applications of copper, as well as examine its unique properties.
According to the press release, the Copper Learning Center has received approval from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), so they really know their stuff. On top of the approval, CDA has talked with many experts from the industry, and has put their knowledge into the course.
They state that the site will be organized and easy to use, affordable, to the point, and can be accessed on demand. The press release also highlights that “future courses will be developed specifically for experienced professionals, and will focus on copper applications in building and construction, as well as sustainable energy.”
If you are a student taking the course, you will be able to get one Learning Unit credit hour. Knowledge in copper and credit, now that’s what I’m talking about.
CDA Vice President, Robert Weed, says they “feel that the Copper Learning Center will be a great resource for students and industry professionals alike, because it will provide an extensive, mobile-friendly and self-paced learning network.”
This will be great for professionals to brush up on their skills and for students to learn key information for their careers down the road.
Weed also mentions that they are going to expand the learning experience by having online webinars as well as access to a community of experts that will help people “develop as professionals.”
