Me-Ching Lien is an excellent professor; one of the BEST at Oregon State. Although she is from China and has a Chinese accent, she is one of the most helpful, understanding, and dedicated teachers I have had. Being a sophomore undergraduate student, I have had several teachers and professors in my lifetime. Lien is willing to give you extra time on assignments when it’s absolutely needed, she answers emails within 24 hours and offers plenty of extra credit to help you succeed in her class. To help her students do well in the class, she assigns lots of helpful assignments and online quizzes, so that the midterms and finals don’t weigh heavily on your final grade. Being a poor test taker, I really appreciated Lien giving us an opportunity to show we are successful students in other ways than big tests. She is very passionate about psychology and because she knows she has a strong accent she creates her midterms and final based off of the book, so anyone and everyone can pass the class just by reading the textbook. I have taken psychology classes from her before, including: Psych 201 and Psych 202. I am looking forward to taking PSY 350 from her this winter. Overall, Lien is an INCREDIBLE professor that I would recommend to everyone needing to take psychology classes. Read the book, do her assigned assignments, and attend her office hours and she will help you do incredibly well in her class. |
